I was going down 65th Avenue in Leduc waiting at a red light and I looked left and this is what I saw. I was just taken aback by the colours, the cast shadows in the grasses peeking through the snow, and that the whole scene made such a "mundane" subject like a train crossing an absolutely stunning sight.

*I love trains. I used to be a conductor and while I typically don't include non-natural items in my pieces the one exception was that if I was on site for painting and there was a train, a train was added. Either a train or a train adjacent object.

Limited edition reproduction  of this painting are available. Only available in one size and there are only 88 editions in a run. After that, the print will be retired permanently.

Framed so that the watercolour floats in the centre to show off the torn edges (torn edges are very hard to photograph so in the images above it looks straight edged). The floating frame will play with the light even further enhancing the painting that is focused on nature, clouds, and light.

A modern style framing without a mat cutout but with the floating mount to play with the light. Framed in a beautiful black frame with a black mat background.
